  • For 2024 Nissan Ariya has reduced Ariya’s starting price to $40,980.
  • In response to Ford’s comparable price cuts, the decision was made as the EV industry became even more competitive.
  • Not just the entry-level model, either, with Ariya models throughout the range seeing price reductions of up to $6000.

The pricing wars are intensifying as competition in the electric SUV industry grows. Nissan has just slashed the price of the 2024 Nissan Ariya by $3,600, with the base model now starting at $40,980.

The front-wheel drive Engage trim level of the Ariya with a 63.0-kWh battery pack is included in this basic pricing. Better yet, prices have also been lowered for the remaining 2024 Ariya range. The range estimates increase to 304 miles when upgrading to the $42,580 Venture+ trim, which costs just $1600 more and has an 87.0-kWh battery pack. Additionally, this larger battery pack is available with the Evolve+ ($45,580) and Empower+ ($49,080) trims.

Available on some trim levels, the more potent dual-motor, all-wheel-drive e-4ORCE configuration adds $4000 to the total cost. The top-of-the-line, 389-hp, all-wheel-drive e-4ORCE Platinum+ vehicle now starts at $55,580, a savings of around $6000.

Although the Ariya is not eligible for the $7500 federal tax credit because it is made in Japan, these general price reductions aid Nissan’s electric vehicle in the competition. Additionally, it maintains its competitiveness against models like the Ford Mustang Mach-E, which was recently reduced in price and is currently available for as little as $41,695 for 2023 cars that are left over.

Nissan said that later this year, owners of Ariyas will be able to charge their EVs at Tesla’s Supercharger fast-charging network thanks to the availability of a NACS adaptor. The Ariya will ship with the NACS port as standard starting in 2025.
