- Toyota has given us our first look at the impending 2025 Toyota 4-Runner with this close-up of the redesigned SUV’s rear bumper.
- In 2025, the 4Runner is anticipated to undergo a comprehensive redesign, ushering in a new generation built around the Tacoma truck.
- The latest image was taken a month after we saw a fully covered prototype being tested close to Toyota’s southeast Michigan research and development center.
The brand-new 4Runner, which is anticipated to go on sale later this year as a 2025 model, has been revealed to us by Toyota. The business released a new Instagram image that shows the evolution of the 2025 Toyota 4-Runner throughout time and ends with a close-up of its revamped back bumper, giving fans a first look at the next SUV.
After years of living just beneath the Toyota emblem on the back tailboard, the written ‘4Runner’ badge has moved to a new, blocky typeface just above the bumper. Additionally, we can see updated taillights that are visible at the top of the picture.
The 4Runner prototype was spotted testing close to Toyota’s R&D facility, which is also home to Car and Driver headquarters, in Ann Arbour, Michigan, a month ago. This is where the teaser image was taken. The SUV was seen in the same area as the 2024 model, indicating that its dimensions won’t change. However, the 2025 4Runner is anticipated based on the mid-size Tacoma pickup truck.
