At Hero World Day 2024, Hero MotoCorp unveiled the Hero Xoom 125R; this year will see the release of the brand’s first high-end 125cc scooter.
Hero Xoom 125R: Hero Motocorp has been leading the Indian two-wheeler market and bringing in a number of new scooter models. Accordingly, the brand will make its debut in the TVS Ntorq 125-dominated premium sporty scooter category with the Xoom 125R, which was unveiled at Hero World Day 2024. Here are the top 5 things you should be aware of regarding the upcoming Hero Xoom 125R.
Hero Xoom 125R: Design
The Hero Xoom 125R exudes sportiness from every angle, as you can see from a quick glance at it. But it takes a lot of design cues from the Xoom 110, its smaller sibling. A notable distinction exists in the overall dimensions aside from this. The LED headlamps with the DRL element are visible up front, and the turn indicators are also thoughtfully positioned.
There is a noticeable sense of spaciousness on the floorboard, and the side profile has a lot of wrinkles and cuts. Furthermore, the utilisation of various colours in the body panel contributes to the cause. The two-wheeler’s overall appeal is increased by the chunky exhaust and sleek rear section combination.
Hero Xoom 125R: Powertrain
The 124.6cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine, which produces 10.16 Nm of peak torque and 9.4 bhp, will power the sporty Xoom 125R. The company states that it will use a CVT gearbox and that the final output may vary slightly. The TVS Ntorq 125 base specification and the numbers are fairly comparable.
Hero Xoom 125R: Equipment
Although the exact specifications are still unknown, the Hero Xoom 125R will have a steel frame with traditional telescopic forks up front and a monoshock in back. With 14-inch wheels on both ends, the scooter will have a drum brake up front and a disc brake down the back. The Xoom 125R will weigh about 120 kg at the curb.
Hero Xoom 125R: Features
With features like sequential turn indicators, digital instrument cluster, Bluetooth smartphone connectivity, LED lighting setup, and more, the Xoom 125R should have features comparable to those of its competitors.
Hero Xoom 125R: Price and Release Schedule Estimates
We anticipate that the Hero Xoom 125R will retail for approximately Rs. 80,000 (ex-showroom), competing with models such as the TVS Ntorq 125, Honda Dio 125, and Suzuki Avenis. The Xoom 125R is expected to make its Indian market debut by the end of 2024, most likely during the holiday season, if the most recent media reports are any indication.
