Audi have delisted the Q2 luxury compact SUV from their India website. The Q2 went on sale in India in 2020 as a CBU and served as the entry-level Audi offering in the country.

Audi Q2 Discontinued In India

Audi India has discontinued the Q2 SUV just a few weeks after the launch of the Q3. While the Q2 was launched in India in 2020, it went on sale globally in 2016 and received a facelift shortly after. The Q2 facelift, on the other hand, was never brought to our shores, despite the fact that the carmaker stated that it was planned for our market. It is also worth noting that Audi will soon discontinue the Q2 globally.

No Replacement Planned For the Q2

A few reports revealed that Audi do not have plans to bring a new-gen model or an apt replacement for the Q2. The German carmaker will instead focus on larger SUVs with higher profit margins while also adding new models to their E-Tron range of electric cars and SUVs.

In India, the Audi Q2 was sold via the CBU route, resulting in an exorbitant price tag. The India-spec Q2 was offered with Audi’s 2.0L turbo petrol engine mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and 4-wheel-drive. The turbo petrol engine produced 190PS of power and 320Nm of torque. Audi offered the Q2 in Standard, Premium, Premium Plus, and Technology trim levels. The Q2 was priced from Rs. 35 lakh to Rs. 48.90 lakh ex-showroom. Currently, the A4 and the new Q3 serve as the entry-level models in the brand’s India portfolio.
