Nexon: The previous few months have seen a lot of fresh arrivals in the SUV market. Representing more than half of all passenger car sales in the nation, the SUV market has more than twenty rival models. The Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, and Hyundai Creta are the three models vying for the coveted title of “Best Selling SUV in FY2024.”

All three of the aforementioned vehicles have already occupied the top spot at least once; the Brezza held the position from 2017 to 2020 before the Hyundai Creta dethroned it in 2021. Since then, the Nexon has triumphantly won the title two years in succession. But is it capable of doing so for a third consecutive year? Which SUV will win out when the year concludes in only two months? Let’s investigate.

Best Selling SUV in FY2024: Current Standings

Every model competing for this title fight has a strong client base and an amazing sales record. Over the past ten months, the combined sales of the three competitors have exceeded 1,30,000 units, surpassing the majority of their competitors. Furthermore, new feature updates have given the Hyundai Creta and the Tata Nexon an advantage over the competition. Thus, given these circumstances, the current situation is as follows:

Tata Nexon

The Nexon has a sizable advantage over the Brezza and Creta as of the end of January 2024. With 1,43,244 units sold overall, it has 15% more than it did in 2022, surpassing the Creta to become the “Best Selling SUV in India.”

After its first release in 2017, the Nexon underwent a thorough overhaul around the close of 2023. The SUV has managed to sell more than 15,000 units per month since its most recent facelift. The promise of safety and the Nexon’s multifuel strategy have been major contributors to its success.

Maruti Brezza

The Tata Nexon is closely followed by the Maruti Suzuki Brezza. In the past ten months, the quadruple champion has sold more than 1,39,518 units. The model’s sales increased when Brezza CNG was just introduced.

The Brezza’s reputation for dependability gives it a significant edge over rivals. Compared to its rivals, the SUV has experienced fewer recalls and other issues since its 2016 launch.

Hyundai Creta

The most well-liked small SUV in India, the Hyundai Creta, comes in third. With 1,31,039 units sold overall, the Creta has 32,000 more units sold than the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, its closest competitor. The Creta still lags behind the Nexon by more than 12,000 units.

The Hyundai Creta is now a strong package with best-in-class features, comfort, and ample room. This is thanks to a recent update. It is anticipated that the new Creta’s freshness will increase model sales.

Future Trends: Winner

We anticipate the Tata Nexon to easily reclaim its crown for a second time based on current sales. The Nexon is quite popular despite minor issues with the device.  The Creta may never be able to claim the title of “Best Selling SUV in FY2024,” but the new Maruti Brezza may make the Nexon quite competitive. In addition to converting its lengthy booking order into sales, the well-liked Maruti SUV has to take advantage of any manufacturing limitations that are anticipated to affect the Creta shortly.

The race is not over even though the sales data clearly suggest who will win. Given that the majority of brands are unable to resolve persistent issues with their models, it is anticipated that customer satisfaction, brand perception, and long-term ownership experience will establish future standards.
