The Suzuki Gixxer 250, Gixxer SF 250, and V-Strom SX are the three 250cc models that Suzuki is recalling. This recall is the result of an issue with the engine camshaft.
The 249cc oil-cooled single-cylinder engine powering all three models has been the subject of reports indicating abnormal wear. Parts that were improperly heat treated during manufacturing are probably the cause of this problem, which could have an impact on particular production batches. When an engine has this issue, it can make odd noises and suddenly stall while moving.

Bikes from batches that have this particular issue are now being identified and brought back by the company and its dealerships. For free, they are changing the damaged components. Suzuki was asked for their opinion on this, but as of right now, they have opted to remain silent.
