2024 Tesla Cybertruck Specs: It turns out that the 2024 Tesla Cybertruck specs are much more than just its strange origami-styled stainless steel body. The Beast’s 834-horsepower tri-motor powertrain can accelerate it to 60 mph in 2.6 seconds at the test track, and it can reach 119 mph to complete the quarter-mile in 11.0 seconds. It has a road trip range of about 250 miles, as I discovered when I drove it on a 75 mph range test.
However, the 2024 Tesla Cybertruck’s suspension and handling make it a potentially more engaging daily driving. With a steer-by-wire system that can switch from lock to lock in less than a complete turn of the handwheel—a yoke with an upper crossbar—the steering is the most unusual of them. Despite my initial dismissal of it as a joke, I discovered it was quite natural and simple to get used to before I drove the truck.
After 500 miles of driving, I concluded that the 2024 Tesla Cybertruck specs were the smoothest-riding car in Tesla’s lineup, thus the suspension was also unexpected. How is that possible? Considering that it runs 35-inch LT tires at 50 psi? All of it comes down to a perfectly adjusted fully independent suspension system that consists of adaptive Bilstein shocks and a standard height-adjustable air suspension.
Since this is a truck and it’s meant to be used off-road, I also drove the Cybertruck up my 20-degree ramp to gauge how flexible the suspension would be in the event of a frame twist. What was the outcome? What is the appearance of the suspension? Watch the video to learn more. I also apologize for some of the sounds in advance. We had to switch to using the camera audio for certain shots since my microphone cord had periodic shortening.
