Compared to some other automakers who are making a direct transition from internal combustion engines to electric motors, Toyota’s hybrid-focused strategy looks more sensible.

SUVs like the Maruti Grand Vitara and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder are examples of how well-received strong hybrids have been by consumers. The Grand Vitara has quickly climbed to the third position on the list of the most popular small SUVs. Similar trends are currently visible with the Toyota Innova Hycross, which is receiving the majority of reservations for strong-hybrid models.

Booking for the Toyota Innova Hycross, which was unveiled in India on November 25, costs Rs 50,000. Five trims are available: G, GX, VX, ZX, and ZX (O). Trim levels VX, ZX, and ZX(O) all come with powerful hybrid powertrain options. The majority of reservations are for high-end, powerful hybrid models, even though the projected launch price is somewhere between Rs 22 and 30 lakh. This demonstrates unequivocally the rising acceptance of powerful hybrids in the general population. Prices for the Toyota Innova Hycross will be released in January 2023.

Innova Hycross ZX and ZX(O) features

Many of the reservations seem to be for top-spec ZX and ZX(O) models for a variety of reasons. These have unique features such a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, and the first powered ottoman seats with a lengthy slide in their segment. A further contributing element can be the best-in-class 21.1 km/l fuel efficiency.

Toyota Safety Sense Suite is also included with the Innova Hycross’ top-spec model. Modern safety technologies including dynamic radar cruise control, auto high beams, blind spot monitoring, pre collision warning systems, lane tracing assistance, and rear cross traffic alert are included. Innova Hycross top-spec models also come with several extra connectivity features not found on lower models. It is now on exhibit in a few Indian dealer showrooms. A thorough video from one of these dealerships, where the Innova Hycross is on show, has been posted by Missautologs.

Improved drive dynamics may also contribute to a rise in interest in Innova Hycross models with the highest level of specification. Utilizing fifth generation self-charging hybrid electric technology, the powertrain should deliver improved performance. People who care about the environment are likely to welcome the powertrain’s decreased carbon footprint.

Innova Hycross waiting period  The Innova Hycross waiting period could be up to 6 months given the volume of reservations. Additionally, reservations show that there is a considerable demand for Super White and Blackish Ageha Glass Flake colour variants. Other variations will have the option of 7/8 seats, but the top-spec ZX and ZX(O) variants will only be offered in a 7-seat configuration. The launch pricing is anticipated to fall between Rs 22 lakh and Rs 30 lakh. Alongside the new Hycross, the current Innova Crysta will continue to be available.
