Tata Curvv:Check out how the Curvv compares, at least on paper, to the specifications of its main competitors, Maruti and Hyundai, as Tata is anticipated to introduce it later this year.
Soon, the Tata Curvv will become the newest player in the fiercely competitive small SUV market. There will be ICE and EV versions available. Tata wants to take direct aim at vehicles similar to the Maruti Grand Vitara and the facelifted Hyundai Creta with the Curvv, but with a different design approach (coupe-like styling). Nevertheless, in order to compete fiercely with its main rivals, it promises to provide more than just design differences. In this report, let’s see how the Curvv compares, at least on paper, to its competitors.

- The Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos SUVs are the only other SUVs in the segment to offer a diesel option until Tata introduces the Curvv, which will be available with both petrol and diesel engines. Both manual and automatic transmission options are anticipated for the Tata Curvv.
- In the meantime, there are three hybrid options available for the Maruti Grand Vitara: mild, strong, and CNG. For the first two, customers have a choice of 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearboxes; the CNG engine only comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox option.
- There is a NA gasoline engine, a turbo petrol engine, and a diesel option available for the Hyundai Creta. The 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox options are available for both the NA gasoline and diesel models (CVT for the former and 6-speed AT for the latter), while the turbocharged petrol model receives a 7-speed dual clutch gearbox.
Price
The Curvv is anticipated to be priced by Tata between Rs 10.50 and Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom). The Hyundai Creta has an initial price range of Rs 11–20.15 lakh, while the Maruti Grand Vitara is priced between Rs 10.80 and Rs 19.99 lakh. All costs are ex-showroom. Tata could therefore aggressively price the Curvv to either outbid or outbid the competition.
