Tata Faces Tough Competition with Mahindra Scorpio N Z8 Select Variant Launch

Mahindra Scorpio NZ8 Select Variant: The new Mahindra Scorpio and Select Variant, which will be positioned between the mid-range Z6 and top-tier Z8, have been introduced by Mahindra & Mahindra Limited to the Indian market. The Select variant retails for Rs 16.99 lakh ex-showroom in India. While it lacks the four by four option, the new Mahindra Scorpio N is offered with the same engine and gearbox options.

The Mahindra Scorpio N is currently a highly sought-after premium SUV with a protracted waiting list in the Indian market. Beginning on March 1, 2024, the Select variant will be offered for sale. 

The cost of the Mahindra Scorpio N Z8 Select variant in India 

Ex-showroom prices in Delhi for the Mahindra Scorpio N Selected variant range from Rs 16.99 lakh to Rs 18.99 lakh. This is the cost for both the petrol and diesel versions.

Mahindra Scorpio N Z8 Select Design 

The new Scorpio N Z8 trim appears to have no notable changes. Along with 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, an LED projector fog light, and a new LED DRL at the front, it features a double barrel LED headlight. A new Midnight Black colour option, exclusive to this variant, is one of the new changes aside from this. It is similar to the XUV700.

Although it has new coffee upholstery and leather seats, the interior of the Scorpio N is identical to the standard model. Only a 7-seater layout is offered for the Select variant. Aside from that, it features an 8-inch touch screen infotainment system, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.

The electronic sunroof, wireless phone charging, dual zone climate control, driver seat height adjustment, USB charging port for backseat passengers, and automated climate control are additional highlights.

The Z8 variant that was chosen has six air bags, electronic stability control, hill haul assist, tyre pressure monitoring system and ISOFIX child set anchor as safety features. 

Mahindra Scorpio N Z8 Select Engine 

Under the hood, the Z8 Select variant is available with a choice of gasoline or diesel engines. 380 Nm of torque and about 200 horsepower are produced by a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine. includes a six-speed manual and a six-speed automatic gearbox.

Mahindra Scorpio N Z8 Select Rivals 

In the Indian market, faces competition from automobiles such as Tata Safari, Tata Harrier Facelift, Hyundai Alcazar, and MG Hector.
