This holiday season will mark the debut of the third-generation Honda Amaze; to obtain a new design and platform

Honda: The next generation Amaze will go on sale later this year, according to Honda Cars India. Despite a mid-life facelift update in 2021, the compact sedan’s second generation model, which made its debut in 2018, is beginning to show its age. A new generation model is urgently needed in order to remain competitive in the smaller sedan market in India.
Amidst rumours that the third-generation Amaze will be released by the end of 2024, this most recent development has verified the same. The new Honda Amaze will be driving on Indian roads during the 2024 festive season, if reports from the media are to be believed.
In terms of the modifications, the upcoming Amaze will be a completely new vehicle with new interiors, features, and styling; on the other hand, the powertrain is anticipated to remain the same as the one found in the current second-generation model. First, a new platform that draws inspiration from the current architecture supporting both Elevate and the City will serve as its foundation. But in order to meet the 4-meter requirements, the platform will undergo a number of changes. This action will lower development costs for the Japanese automaker by enabling it to fully utilise the platform.
Though specifics regarding the design are still being worked out, we anticipate that the next generation Amaze will have completely new styling that will be modelled after high-end Honda sedans offered in foreign markets. The package will include new components like bumpers, tail lamps, and headlamps along with a sleeker silhouette, new alloy wheels, and a sharper front front fascia.
A new dashboard layout with a larger infotainment system and digital instrument cluster is probably in store for the entry-level Honda sedan. Along with new features like the blind-view monitor, the feature set will also be updated. There have also been reports that the next Amaze will include ADAS.
The package will include the well-known 1.2-liter i-VTEC petrol engine, which produces 110 Nm of peak torque and 90 horsepower. A CVT automatic gearbox and a 5-speed manual will be mated to it.
