Maruti Suzuki: Maruti Suzuki’s Baleno launched into the new year with a YoY positive volume increase of 20 per cent, finishing first on the hatchback sales charts with 19,630 units sold in the first month compared to 16,357 units during the same period last year. Last month, with 17,756 sold, the WagonR was the second most popular hatchback.

The YoY negative sales growth was recorded at 13.2% when compared to the same period in 2023 with 20,466 units. Third place went to the Maruti Suzuki Swift, which saw a 6.5% YoY drop in sales to 15,370 units from 16,440 units in January 2023. Due to the next-generation Swift’s release in the upcoming months, sales have decreased.

Its exterior and interior will undergo evolutionary changes, and its feature list will receive a significant upgrade. There will probably be a new 1.2L Z series three-cylinder mild hybrid petrol engine added to the lineup. It will likely come with the choice of an automatic or manual gearbox. With 12,395 units sold, the Alto hatchback was the fourth-place finisher.
