Toyota Crown Signia: a five-seat SUV that resembles an estate
In certain overseas regions, the Toyota Harrier and Venza are replaced by the Crown Signia SUV. It has a design akin to a crossover and a sporty appearance thanks to a slightly sloping roofline. The Crown Signia’s front end adopts the well-known “hammerhead” nose design that is also present on the Crown sedan, Prius, and the most recent Camry sedan to hit the market.
Together with a distinctive grille design and fashionable headlamps, the front bumper is tall. As seen in more recent Toyota models, the narrow LED daytime running lights are positioned above in a C-shaped design. Slim wraparound taillamps and a stylish five-door crossover design are features of this vehicle. Along with the robust fender extensions, its relatively lower roofline and short overhangs give it a distinctive appearance that detracts from its estate-like appearance.
Toyota Crown Signia: interior, powertrain
The interior of the Crown Signia is identical to that of the Crown sedan, with two 12.3-inch screens serving as infotainment and instrumentation screens, as well as a variety of features, safety technologies, and textures based on the version.
Toyota confirmed that the Crown Signia will have the well-known 2.5-liter, four-cylinder petrol-hybrid engine, although they did not provide power output information. Regarding safety, the Crown Signia comes equipped with many airbags as standard and, depending on the model, Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, which offers several ADAS functions.
Toyota Crown Signia launch timeline
In Japan, the Crown Signia SUV—also known as the Crown Estate—is currently available for purchase, and it will soon be available in North America. It is anticipated that Toyota will soon release this SUV in additional markets.
