In just 14 months since the Toyota Innova Hycross’s release, Toyota has sold more than 50,000 vehicles in India.

The Toyota Innova Hycross has sold 50,000 units domestically, marking a new milestone, according to Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM). After the third-generation Innova was unveiled in late 2022, the high-end MPV accomplished its goal in just 14 months. Having been in use for almost 20 years, the Innova nameplate is without a doubt one of the most well-known in India.

In India, the Toyota Innova Hycross line frequently outperforms other premium MPVs, and it is available alongside the upgraded Innova Crysta. The Japanese automaker reported sales of 9,400 Innova units in the first month of the new year, up from 1,427 units in the same period the previous year, representing a 559 percent YoY positive growth in sales.

When compared to December 2023, when 7,832 units were sold, the Innova range had a 20 percent increase in MoM volume. The base model of the Innova Hycross is now priced at Rs. 19.77 lakh, while the range-topping model costs Rs. 30.68 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). There are five different varieties available for retail purchase: GX, VX, VX (O), ZX, and ZX (O).

The Innova Hycross is offered in petrol and petrol/hybrid versions, with seating options for seven or eight people. A 2.0-liter four-cylinder NA gasoline engine with standard tuning can produce up to 174 horsepower and 205 Nm of peak torque, while a 2.0-liter hybrid powertrain can provide up to 186 horsepower. A CVT is matched with the former, and an e-CVT gearbox is used with the latter.

Fuel efficiency claims are 16.13 km/l for the regular petrol engine and 23.24 km/l for the powerful hybrid petrol engine alternatives. The Innova Hycross, which is based on a brand-new TNGA-C monocoque chassis, sports a front-wheel drive system instead of the second generation’s ladder frame design with RWD.
