Benefiting from the e4 platform and the DiSus-X Intelligent Body Control System, the BYD Yangwang U9 pure electric supercar is said to be able to reach a high speed of 309.19 kmph and accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph.

BYD U9 Electric Supercar: The first all-electric supercar from BYD U9 Electric Supercar, the biggest EV manufacturer in the world, is available for purchase under the Yangwang high-performance sub-brand. Known as the U9, it will start to be delivered in China in the upcoming months and is priced at 1.68 million RMB (about Rs. 1.93 crore). Based on the Time Gate styling philosophy, the Yangwang U9 stands out from the sea of electrified supercars with its unique character.

The U9 is described as “street-savvy and track-ready” by the Chinese automaker. The DiSus-X Intelligent Body Control System and the e4 platform are employed by the U9 to provide superior handling and performance. With the help of four independent electric motors and four-wheel independent torque output control, the e4 platform can produce a maximum torque of 1680 Nm and a staggering 1,300 horsepower.

With a maximum adjustable suspension travel of 75 mm and a peak single-axis lifting speed of 500 mm/s, the BYD U9 Electric Supercar DiSus-X facilitates instantaneous lifting force exceeding 1 tonne. It is claimed that these special technologies will improve vehicle agility and passenger and driver comfort while enabling an “unparalleled driving experience in diverse driving scenarios.”

With just one click, the BYD-Yangwang U9 can also dance to music. The all electric supercar can reach its maximum speed of 309.19 kmph in just 2.6 seconds, according to the manufacturer. It takes just 9.78 seconds to run 400 meters from zero. Additionally, the U9’s thermal management system has been improved to endure high temperatures more successfully after extensive track testing, resulting in a doubling of its maximum cooling capacity.

While the Dual Plug-in Ultra-fast charging technology gives a maximum charging capacity of 500 kW, the renowned Blade Battery technology enables both discharging and cooling functions. Twelve sets of active and passive aerodynamic packages are also included with the YANGWANG U9 to lower the drag coefficient and raise heat dissipation efficiency.

This combination ensures complete travel safety and produces an unmatched torsional rigidity of 54425N·m/deg. Additionally, the roof can sustain a compressive load of more than 11 tonnes applied to one side. Two 14-way adjustable seats and an audio system from the Dynaudio Evidence Series are included in the cabin.

The DiLink150 intelligent platform, powered by specialized 4nm 5G chips, is available for the YANGWANG U9. According to the brand, it is designed especially for track driving and has a sophisticated racing aid system that provides thorough track driving services and extensive information on approximately 30 racetracks in China.
