Hero MotoCorp has reintroduced the Vida V1 Plus eScooter, aimed at eco-conscious riders seeking an inexpensive commuter vehicle, at a competitive price of Rs. 1.15 lakh.
Hero MotoCorp: In an effort to strengthen its position in the growing electric scooter market, Hero MotoCorp has formally introduced the Vida V1 Plus 2024 in India. With this thoughtful move, the electric scooter establishes itself as a formidable competitor against the Ather 450S, Bajaj Chetak, and Ola S1 Air.

Before launching their electric car under the unique Vida sub-brand, Hero MotoCorp faced a number of obstacles. The Vida V1 Plus’s original pricing was criticised, which led to a change in the device. In response, Hero released the Vida V1 Pro last year for a much more affordable Rs. 1.4 lakh, including central subsidies. Nevertheless, the Vida V1 Plus was momentarily removed from distribution.
In 2024, Hero MotoCorp is relaunching the Vida V1 Plus, which comes with a portable charger and a FAME II central subsidy, all for an enticing price of Rs. 1.15 lakh. With its reduced price tag in comparison to the top-spec Vida V1 Pro, which costs Rs. 30,000 more, this reintroduction presents the Vida V1 Plus as an irresistible choice.
By providing extra subsidies, state governments all around India are encouraging the use of electric vehicles. For example, the Vida V1 Plus is available for less than one lakh rupees, or approximately Rs. 97,800, to residents of Delhi. This action intends to lessen purchasers’ financial burden, accelerating the shift to more environmentally friendly modes of transportation.
There are numerous similarities between the Vida V1 Plus and its more expensive sibling, the Vida V1 Pro. The 7-inch touchscreen dashboard, ergonomic seating, and similar styling cues are shared by both scooters. They can both reach a maximum speed of 80 km/h and have an electric motor that produces 6 kW.
But there are some differences that make the V1 Plus and V1 Pro more expensive than they need to be. With its larger 3.94 kWh battery, the V1 Pro can travel farther—110 km—on a single charge. On the other hand, the V1 Plus has a battery that is marginally smaller at 3.44 kWh, but it still has an impressive 100 km of range.
With a current discount of Rs. 30,000, the 2024 Hero Vida V1 Plus is an affordable and environmentally friendly mobility solution that will appeal to a larger market and help the electric vehicle movement gain traction in the Indian market.
