With the introduction of the Dark Editions and CNG technology in India, Tata will increase Nexon’s range.

Tata Nexon: A few weeks ago, Tata Motors celebrated a significant milestone when the 6,00,000th Nexon compact SUV was taken out of production at its Ranjangaon facility in Pune. After being on the market for less than seven years, the five-seater SUV has become the best-selling vehicle in the nation.

First released in 2017, the Nexon had a significant overhaul at the beginning of 2020. The redesigned Nexon made its debut with extensive internal and external changes late last year. Within the next few weeks, Dark Editions will be added to the lineup, and a CNG version is also being developed. We have discussed them here:

Tata Motors plans to introduce the 2024 Nexon Dark Edition, which is based on the recently updated Tata Nexon model, early in March 2024. This little SUV will be available in a number of configurations, with 1.5L diesel and 1.2L gasoline engine options, as well as manual and automatic gearbox choices.

Incorporating many black finishes and gloomy Edition insignia, the external design will have a gloomy theme that carries over into the interior design. The Nexon EV Dark Edition was introduced by Tata at the 2024 Bharat Mobility Global Expo in New Delhi, and it will probably go on sale in India in the upcoming weeks.

2. Tata Nexon CNG:

The Nexon iCNG concept was also globally unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in 2024. Tata Motors has incorporated the twin-cylinder technology, which was initially shown in the Altroz and Punch at the 2023 Auto Expo, in order to build on the success of the recently upgraded Nexon. Although the firm first debuted iCNG technology in January 2022 with the Tiago and Tigor, the introduction of twin-cylinder technology that doesn’t sacrifice trunk room has generated a lot of curiosity.

The Nexon CNG Concept was the first car in India to use turbo twin-cylinder technology, making history. The Nexon it has a boot volume of about 230 liters with an underbody spare wheel arrangement. Its two cylinders are arranged in a parallel configuration. The underfloor boot storage keeps the cylinders tucked away neatly and nearly undetectable.
