Tata Curvv EV Concept : A preview of Tata Motors’ upcoming midsize SUV in India can be found in the recently unveiled Tata Curvv EV concept. The company wants to demonstrate its next-generation electric architecture and design language with this concept.
Key details about the Curvv EV concept are as follows:
2022 Tata Curvv EV concept: design
Tata SUVs to come will eventually adopt the “Digital” Design language, which is on display in the Tata Curvv EV concept. Two of the new styling’s most notable elements are a boot with a notchback design and a curved roofline. This coupe-SUV’s design is enhanced by these parts, which are reminiscent of the BMW X4. The Curvv’s full-width LED light bar and triangle air vents are two more notable features.
2022 Tata Curvv EV concept: EV architecture
Being an EV, the Curvv concept highlights Tata’s new Generation-2 architecture, which was created to support a variety of body styles and powertrain options despite being based on the modified Generation-1 architecture found on the Nexon EV.
2022 Tata Curvv EV concept: battery and range
Details regarding the Curvv EV concept’s battery pack have not yet been released by Tata Motors. The company did note, though, that the Curvv is probably going to have a bigger battery pack than the 30.2kWh battery found in the Nexon. This will enable the coupe-SUV to reach its stated 400–500 km range in production spec.
2022 Tata Curvv EV concept: interiors and features
With a rotary gear selector, floating centre console, panoramic sunroof, and centre armrest, the new Curvv concept is all about convenience. The EV concept also has a sculpted three-layer dashboard, and the entire cabin is designed in a straightforward, understated manner. The two free-standing digital screens for the instrument cluster and infotainment system, respectively, are additional components. Lastly, a new two-spoke steering wheel design is also included for the Curvv.
2022 Tata Curvv EV concept: launch timeline and positioning
An internal combustion engine (ICE) version of the Tata Curvv will be released after the production-ready model, which will initially be offered as an electric vehicle. This means that Tata Motors’ first midsize SUV will be the production-ready Curvv. The production-spec Curvv is scheduled to launch in the next two years, taking on competitors like the Volkswagen Taigun, Hyundai Creta, Skoda Kushaq, and Kia Seltos.
