Tata Motors has introduced the Tiago CNG AMT and Tigor CNG with an automatic gearbox option after releasing a few teasers and opening reservations. Tiago CNG AMT prices start at Rs 7.90 lakh (ex-showroom), while Tigor CNG AMT prices start at Rs 8.85 lakh (ex-showroom). Three versions (XT, XZ+, and XZ NRG) of the Tiago CNG are available. When compared to their manual transmission counterparts, all three variants fetch a premium of Rs 55,000. The XZ+ version, with the option of a dual-tone exterior shade, is also available. Nevertheless, only the manual gearbox is included with the base and entry-level CNG versions of the Tiago and Tiago NRG.

The Tigor CNG’s two top-spec models, the XZ and XZ+, are priced Rs 60,000 more than their manual transmission counterparts. Tata is now offering the AMT version of the Tigor CNG. The base-spec CNG variant of the sedan isn’t offered with an automated transmission option.
Engine Specifications
The 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine that powers the Tiago CNG AMT and Tigor CNG AMT has 86 PS of power and 95 Nm of torque when it is in CNG mode. Five-speed manual and five-speed automated manual transmissions (AMTs) are available for both models. Tata further states that the fuel efficiency of both CNG vehicles is 28.06 km/kg.
Features
The 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system in both models features an 8-speaker Harman sound system, Type-C fast charging ports, a rear defogger, and automatic climate control. Also, it supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. A tyre pressure monitoring system, electronic stability control, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, and a rear parking camera with sensors are among the safety features.
Rivals
There aren’t any direct competitors for the hatchback and sedan’s CNG automatic versions on the market. Nevertheless, the Tiago CNG competes with the Maruti Suzuki Celerio CNG, Wagon R CNG, and the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios CNG, while the Tigor CNG faces off against the Hyundai Aura and Maruti Suzuki Dzire, both of which have CNG versions
