A Quick Consideration of Lucid Gravity 2026: The Follow-Up That Takes Your Breath Away from the Air Sedan

Lucid Gravity: The all-electric Gravity SUV was meant to be the second model produced by Lucid in its entire history. Of course, the Lucid Air sedan had it all going for it, but it takes that proposition further, making it broader and loftier, into Gravity territory.

The Second-Year Success

For obvious reasons, a successful follow-up always needed to cement its status in the history books, be that in music, movies, or automobiles. The essential thing about Gravity for Lucid is reaching out to the user. A luxury electrical SUV set to put its foot down in a flourishing market, yet bring in the new. Taking design cues from the Air, the Gravity is much more than a stretched version with the lesser seats; it is an actual leap forward in design, tech, and practicality.

An Evolving Design Language

Upon entering the driver’s seat, the first thing to strike you is the new steering wheel shape-more rectangular than circular, combined with a high-mounted, easily visible, and stunning Clearview display in OLED 6K resolution. The required instrument display is not partially blocked by the steering wheel, as it would be in the Air. The Lucid UX 3.0 user interface is much more intuitive, finally allowing drivers to view battery percentage and range side-by-side, either based on EPA recommendations or via dynamic projections that adjust according to real-time driving behavior.

Touchpad controls for major functions sit on the steering wheel, and a redesigned landscape center screen supplies a more enjoyable touch. Controls below the display can be customized for intelligently simple activities such as adjustment of seat settings or drive modes.

Luxurious Utility

Within, Lucid preserves minimalist beauty with classy fabrics and leatherette or upgrades to leather trims. And space utilization is probably what stands out best. In the five- or seven-seat configurations, there’s room to spare, allowing adults in the back row to lie back comfortably without compromise.

Fold-flat seating and smart packaging provide an impressive 98 cubic feet of cargo space with the seats down, along with six cubic feet of storage space under the floor and an additional eight cubic feet in the front trunk. That front “frunk” can be fitted with cushions and used as a bench, transforming Gravity into a viable minivan inside a stylish SUV shell.

Rethinking Range and Charging

The 123-kWh pack belonging to Gravity is aerodynamically efficient and relatively light, thereby achieving splendid ranges. The Grand Touring trim runs on 828 hp and 909 lb-ft torque, yet up to 450 miles of range can be yielded under ideal configuration settings.

Charging is just as impressive. The talented and creative mind behind this is sure to land you right in a high-tech wonderland, the Magic Kingdom of the human intellect. Lucid claims that with a maximum rate of 400 kW over a 1000V infrastructure, 200 miles can be added in a mere 11 minutes, supported fully by real-world Earth charges reported with the Air.

The Arrival of Air Suspension

The Gravity begins life with air suspension—an upgrade Lucid has long wanted to introduce to its lineup. The ride height ranges from 5.2 to 9.3 inches, facilitating the Gravity’s highway comfort or light off-road gravitas in an uncomplicated manner. The SUV remains poised and balanced even at the limits of performance. It rockets to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds, and the drive is calming with no dramatics.

Lucid has another feather in its cap—Dynamic Handling—with its new triple-chamber air suspension and rear-wheel steering via active toe-control links. This set-up gives more agility while intelligently organizing cabin space, an aspect critical to comfort in the third row.

Ready for the Trails

Terrain Mode, currently under development, prepares the chassis for dirt and gravel. A rally-style course offered us an opportunity to test the mode, which worked beautifully in keeping the vehicle poised over ever-changing surfaces through a combination of motor- and brake-based stability systems operating quietly in the background.

Models and Pricing

The Gravity Grand Touring starts from $96,550, providing a sweet spot between power, tech, and range. A half-sought edition will be another higher-end offering capped at 1070 hp for select buyers, followed later by the more accessible Touring model for $81,550.

Conclusion

The 2026 Lucid Gravity does not simply follow its predecessor—it is a new evolution. Taking the best elements of the Air and correcting its shortcomings, Lucid has birthed an electric SUV that merges luxury with innovation and performance in a singularly elegant package. Impressive range, cutting-edge technology, spacious interior configuration, and handling refinement are all signs that Lucid is not merely keeping pace with trends—they are constructing the templates from which electric SUVs are to be modeled. The production of this second act may be the one that cements Lucid’s legacy.
