Electric Cars
BYD Seal:
Commencing on March 5, 2024, the BYD Seal is expected to retail for approximately Rs. 50 lakh (ex-showroom) upon its launch in India. The deliveries may start in the upcoming months, and the unofficial bookings have already begun. A year ago, the BYD Seal made its debut locally at the 2023 Auto Expo. The electric cars sedan’s range in foreign markets is up to 500 km thanks to a 61.4 kWh battery pack.
It is anticipated that the 82.5 kWh battery, which has a stated 700 km range, will be shipped to India. It has two electric motors that together generate 530 horsepower and 670 Nm of torque, along with BYD’s renowned Blade battery technology. It is stated to have a top speed of 180 kmph and can go from zero to 100 kmph in 3.8 seconds.
Tata Curvv EV:
By the middle of this year, Tata Motors plans to launch the Curvv EV following the launch of the Punch EV. With a stated driving range of more than 500 km, it will be the second Tata model constructed on the Acti.ev platform. The Tata Curvv EV will go on sale in H2 2024, and its ICE counterpart will follow.
Mahindra XUV300 EV:
Mahindra unveiled the updated XUV400 recently, with notable improvements to the vehicle’s interior design. Based on the XUV300 compact SUV’s platform, these enhancements are expected to be carried over to the next electric SUV. This electric version, which will sit beneath the XUV400, will have a battery pack that can reportedly cover about 350 kilometers.
Kia EV9:
The flagship seven-seater electric SUV from Kia, the EV9, made its global debut last year with a WLTP-certified range of 541 km. It will be placed above the Ioniq 5 and is expected to launch in the upcoming months.
