KTM RC 8C: Interested parties can place an online pre-order for the 2024 KTM RC 8C starting Wednesday, March 20.
The 2024 model will cost 2,342 euros more than the 2023 model, even if the spec sheets suggest a bike more like the 2023 model. Additionally, KTM will only produce 100 of the models instead of 200 of the previous generation.
The KTM RC 8C is the epitome of a competition motorcycle—light as a feather, with a well-defined goal—equipped with the best parts designed for competition and driven by a potent 889 cc parallel-twin engine. The Austrian company’s offer for MotoGP experts Jack Miller and Brad Binder to test drive the model is evidence that it is all-in.
The 2024 KTM RC 8C, like the previous two models, can only be booked online through a special booking portal on KTM.com. It will be open starting at 3 p.m on March 20. Here, prospective purchasers can secure a set deposit of €1,000 to secure one of the 100 available flats. At the time of purchase, clients must select their favorite dealer, where they want their motorbike to be delivered.
Furthermore, purchasers have the option to secure a spot at the exclusive final delivery session in Portimão, Portugal. A COMPETITION PARTS PACK, which includes every component required to take part in the world’s most exclusive raffle, must be purchased in addition to the event. Hot laps in a KTM X-BOW race car with KTM factory riders, a private dinner, a meet and greet, an exclusive track experience with KTM racing royalty, and, as if that weren’t enough, KTM will reveal something extremely special as a world-exclusive preview of what the brand is preparing for the future are all included in this event.
The carbon Kevlar bodywork of the 2024 KTM RC 8C, which was influenced by the KTM RC16, conceals the 889 cc, 8-valve, 130 horsepower LC8c DOHC parallel-twin engine inside. All of this is paired with a specifically made 25CrMo4 multitubular steel frame that enhances its competitive adaptability with premium WP PRO COMPONENTS and a selection of lightweight components.
High-performance 43 mm WP APEX PRO 7543 closed cartridge cassettes are fitted to the front of the fork, and a WP APEX PRO 7746 mono-shock with a remote preload regulator at the rear axle ensures precise behavior and provides easy and accurate adjustment of compression and extension at high and low speeds. A pair of Brembo 19RCS CORSA CORTA radial brake master cylinders, developed for the MotoGP racetrack, deliver braking force for the KTM RC 8C. These master cylinders regulate Brembo Stylema front calipers and 290 mm fully floating brake discs. Rear braking is handled by a two-piston Brembo caliper and a 230mm full-floating disc that is lightweight thanks to titanium bolts and an aluminum core reinforcement.
The 2024 KTM RC 8C has AIM MXS 1.2 RACE instrumentation and a data logger with an integrated GPS function for thorough data collection and analysis. Drivers can connect AIM RaceStudio to a 5′′ TFT screen with continuous data recording capability to examine particular performance measures in-depth and fine-tune their lap times on the track.
