Tata SUVs: Tata is still making progress in the EV market. To maintain its edge in the market, it introduced the Punch EV last month. Tata will provide further EV alternatives in 2024, including Curvv, Avinya, Harrier EV, and others. Tata does, however, also intend to introduce a few new ICE SUVs this year. Which ones are they? Let’s discuss the next generation of Tata SUVs.
Curvv
One of the most anticipated vehicles in the Indian auto industry is the Curvv. Tata is introducing the Curvv with both ICE and EV powertrains to serve a broader market. Its gasoline/diesel version should be available by the end of 2024, and its electric version by the middle of 2024. Three engine options are anticipated for the ICE version: a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine (168 bhp/280 Nm), a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine (123 bhp/225 Nm) and a 1.5-litre diesel engine (113 bhp/260 Nm).
The Curvv is anticipated to include features including ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, ADAS, six airbags, and more. The petrol version of the Curvv is anticipated to compete with vehicles such as the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, Skoda Kushaq, and others, with a starting price of Rs 12 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
Upcoming Tata SUVs – Harrier/Safari
Tata unveiled the eagerly awaited Harrier/Safari makeover last year. Numerous new features and significant design modifications are included with the facelifted models. A petrol engine option, on the other hand, was something that was greatly anticipated but was left off of the makeover. By year’s end, this petrol engine is anticipated to make its debut on the Curvv before joining the Harrier/Safari pair.
Both SUVs are anticipated to be equipped with the new 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine, which has 168 horsepower and 280 Nm of torque. There should be an automatic and manual gearbox option. We don’t anticipate any changes to the exterior or inside, save for the engine. With the option of a petrol engine, both SUVs’ beginning prices may decrease.
