With the 2024 Hyundai Creta redesign, Hyundai updated its well-liked small SUV, which has already garnered media attention by booking more than 50,000 units in less than a month. The SUV’s test mule has been spotted again, exposing new design details and suggesting that the automaker is now working on an all-electric version of the vehicle.

The updated alloy wheels on the Creta EV, which appear to be aerodynamically friendly, are visible in the spy photo. The remaining components of the electric SUV’s design are still unknown. With some EV-specific design cues, it is anticipated to have a general appearance that is comparable to the ICE-equipped Creta.

Even though the most recent spy photo only partially reveals the interior, it’s still clear that the Creta EV shares the ICE Creta’s updated dashboard layout and dual 10.25-inch screens for the infotainment system and digital driver’s display.

It is anticipated that the ICE Creta will retain additional features like wireless phone charging, ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, and a panoramic sunroof. Six airbags, electronic stability control, a tire pressure monitoring system, ISOFIX mounts for child seats, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) are probably on the safety features list.

We think the Creta EV will be able to reach a claimed range of over 400 kilometers, though the details of its electric powertrain are still to be confirmed.

The Creta EV is anticipated to be introduced by Hyundai in our country sometime in 2025, with a starting price of approximately Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). Not only will it rival the MG ZS EV and the Tata Curvv EV, but it will also be a bigger alternative to EVs like the Tata Nexon EV and Mahindra XUV400.
